why should we?

For it is only us, humans, who can write to claim our rights as individuals.

Sixty years ago on this very day, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nnations Security Council. The first global expression of rights to which all human beings are inherently entitled.

Article 1

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

why one1india?

where the mind is without fear

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action ...
Into that heaven of freedom, my father, let my country awake.

Rabindranath Thakur - Gitanjali 1910

He did not witness India being carved into pieces.
We have, and we are witnessing further divisions.
It is our responsibility to continue what he would surely have done had he been alive.
